原文：Taiwan Stands Firm in the Face Of Mounting Chinese Naval Pressure
This past month, China’s Ministry Of Transport conducted a “special maritime traffic law enforcement and hydrographic survey operation” in Taiwanese waters from June 6 to June 10. The move indicates an assertion of authority over Taiwanese waters, and a response to the Japanese and Filipino announcements of talks to be held regarding maritime boundaries in the area.中国维持对台湾水域的主权主张，并拒绝台湾的主权主张。
The move would prompt a joint statement to be made by the respective French, German, and British offices within Taiwan, in which the following was stated: “We have noted with concern novel Chinese activity in the waters east of Taiwan. We reiterate our opposition to any unilateral change to the status quo, particularly by threat or use of force or coercion.
